“Hunger for God will not starve one to death, but to life!” Lynn Anderson
Years ago I read, “They Smell Like Sheep” by Dr. Lynn Anderson. In my opinion, this is one of the best books I have ever read. Recently I started reading the recently released Volume 2. I would like to share a quote from this book that hit my heart:
A Heart Compelled by the Glory of God:
It is not the pearly gates, however, but the presence of God that makes heaven appealing. If we do not relish the presence of God, here and now, then heaven forever would be a drag. The reward for serving God is getting more of God himself. The reward for seeking God is not a place, but a presence.
God bless!

Great quotes and thoughts. Thanks for sharing. I will have to look into this Smelling Like Sheep business
Well said.
Thank you for visiting. After such a long departure (rest…..well it wasn’t rest, I have been working a couple of jobs), I appreciate you all coming back to visit. God bless!
I’m going to have to read that book, never heard of it.

All the trappings of heaven seemed nice but never enough to want to die to go there. Now to fully realize being a son of God and to be with Him, and to be able to actively partake in that adopted sonship and to worship Him in his House ..those are things that have real appeal.
That is wonderful, Jan. It’s so good to see YOUR presence here…I’ve missed you.
I love the photos of your daughter’s wedding; especially the one of you and your wife, and of you and your daughter in profile..how special a privilege it must be to be the officiate at that ceremony! Congratulations!
Merry Christmas…jim
